This man shows us how it is done with his cover of a George Michael classic.
Even for people who aren’t big fans, everyone knows the song “Careless Whisper.”
George Michael’s “Careless Whisper” is one of the most popular ballads from the 1980s that has lived on to this day.
As it achieved worldwide success back then, musicians began to make their rendition of this classic in commemoration of the late singer.
Alexandr Misko is one of them, but he brought the song back to life in his own way with this fingerstyle cover.
As the video begins, the young guitarist sits on his couch with his trusty guitar.
After slapping the metallic guitar strings, Misko then slid his finger on the bass string to complete his intro.
After that, the familiar tune of the George Michael classic comes out of his guitar.
He gently plucked on the strings while his other hand presses down on the frets to create the melody and bass lines of the song.
Misko provided the song’s percussion accompaniment by simply hammering his palm on the body of the guitar.
He adjusts the capo while playing, and you can see how it never affects his timing. The sweet-sounding melody resonates throughout, letting everyone feel the passion he had as he played the tune.
Although odd, he seemed to have an interesting technique to make the note bend higher.
Instead of just sliding his finger forward on the frets, he instead turned the tuning knobs on his guitar then turned them back afterward. His technique is difficult to pull without years of practice, as one could easily mistune the guitar and make it sound awkward. However, Misko does it with little to no sweat.

Despite Misko’s complicated playing style, he was still able to incorporate the essence of the song into his playing.
Sometimes, you just don’t want the song to end as every part of his rendition was masterfully played. Learning how to play the guitar is easy, but mastering the instrument is hard work.
