We’ve all heard the saying “age is just a number,” but some people prove that it’s true every day.

One example is 94-year-old gymnast Johanna Quaas, who is recognized as the world’s oldest living competitive gymnast. In this video, the then 86-year-old showed us that you’re never too old to do what you love.

She’s still doing gymnastics to this day!

Johanna Quaas is the oldest competitive gymnast in the world and is still inspiring people through the sport.

Quaas is a from Germany, and the 94-year-old started gymnastics at a young age but ended up giving them up for competitive handball before coming back to them a little bit later in life. Back in 2012, the Guinness Book of World Records declared her the world’s oldest gymnast at 86 years old.

This video is from the same year she got the Guinness record.

In the clip, Quaas does a spectacular routine that most people half her age couldn’t do. Right from the start, the great grandmother started doing somersaults and headstands that most 20-year-olds would struggle with.

The talented gymnast has won the German Senior Citizen Championships 11 times.

You would never be able to tell that she had this kind of skill just by looking at Quaas—she looks like your typical grandmother until she breaks out the classic green leotard and rips it up on the gym mats.

She goes through this entire performance by flawlessly bending her body in challenging ways, doing cartwheels, and jumping through the air like a spunky teenager.

The most amazing thing is she was only 86 years old in this video and is still doing it at age 94!

This is seriously mind-boggling!

She holds herself up on the high beam before going to a lower beam to do some tricks, walking across it. After that, 91-year-old Quaas proceeds to get up on the single bars and completely flips herself around.
