NPR Music’s Tiny Desk concert series brings live and pre-recorded concerts to you in your very own home.

Since we can’t attend actual in-person music events, we can enjoy the second-best thing: concerts without ever having to leave the couch. The best part? Each concert is completely free. This is definitely a win-win in our books. Just about everyone from Justin Bieber to Alicia Keys has made an appearance on the Tiny Desk concert series.

I know what I’ll be binge-watching today!

The National Public Radio, or NPR for short, is not simply a station devoted to music.

Viewers and listeners can find stories on global news and politics, arts, entertainment, and even science. They truly have something for everyone. At this point, we can all recognize the name Billie Eilish—but not everyone has truly seen her vocal talent. This 19-year-old pop star has already won several Grammys and broken countless records.

We can’t wait to see all that she’ll accomplish before the age of 30—she is truly a super-woman!

When we saw Billie make an appearance on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk concert series, you just know we were thrilled.

In non-COVID times, the stars will usually perform at the actual “Tiny Desk” of Bob Boilen, located in Washington D.C. Since travel is not advised, other arrangements had to be made for the young pop star. In this case, Eilish actually performed in front of a cardboard printout of the Tiny Desk from the confines of her own home. Could’ve fooled us!

Accompanied by her brother Finneas, the duo goes on to perform not one but two songs.

They begin with Billie’s 2020 song “my future,” a piece co-authored by the brother and sister duo. Talk about a talented family!

After the first song and a brief intermission, Billie discusses how weird the pandemic has been for her.

She is so thankful to her brother for being her emotional rock during these trying times, and she says she hopes everyone has someone as supportive of them as her brother is to her. “We’ll be okay one day,” Billie says between songs.

As 2021 progresses, we can only hope that one day is sooner rather than later…but hearing her jazzy vocal talents is a good start.

For song two, the duo switches instrumental roles with Finneas taking over on the keyboard.

In addition to just their vocals, the brother-sister duo also boasts some pretty stellar guitar and piano skills.

For their second number, Billie and Finneas play “everything i wanted.”

This song is so good that it was even nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance! We wonder if a Grammy was also everything Billie ever wanted. She definitely deserves one (or seven).

With over 11,000 comments and seven million YouTube views alone, this at-home concert has definitely brought joy into the homes of its global viewers.

It’s just too bad we can’t hop on a plane to go watch the duo perform live! They are just too good. Even if you only know Billie Eilish from the tabloids or the radio, seeing her live lets us appreciate her talent even more.

Which song was your favorite? Did you enjoy the soft instrumentals of the first song or the meaningful lyrics of song two?

I know I’m torn on choosing a favorite—the best way to find out is to watch again!
