The beat of the drums were just too strong for one little guy to resist.
Three Elizabeth City State University drum majors were showing off their dance skills at a recent game in their home state of North Carolina. The atmosphere was electric and the crowd was thoroughly entertained. What the teachers, parents and students didn’t realize was that one more dancer was about to join the squad and take this performance to another level…of extreme cuteness.
A young boy appears next to the drum majors and decides that he needs to be a part of the action.
To everyone’s surprise and delight, the boy starts to join in with his own moves. He doesn’t seem the least bit flustered when he can’t quite keep up with the older boys. He watches them intently and attempts to mirror their every move.
When he can’t follow the routine exactly, he just makes up his own.
When you can’t get something right…you just fake until you do. He had the entire crowd smiling and cheering him on as he performed his own little dance routine.
The drum majors don’t miss a beat.
These guys are serious about their craft. Not once do the drum majors blink an eye at the little boy who is following their every move. They continue their powerful routine without one step out of place. They seem completely fine with their new dance partner and try to give him as much of the spotlight as possible.
This might be a little drum major in the making.
I don’t think anyone would be surprised to see this young man become a drum major one day. He seems to be completely engrossed in the entire performance.
The drum majors might be his heroes, but in this moment he is stealing the show.
As he looks up at the drum majors you can see complete adoration in his eyes. This little star is just too adorable to ignore. After the video was shared online, he was stealing hearts again. One commenter wrote, “THAT LIL MAN IS SO PRECIOUS! GOD BLESS HIM! LOVE IT!” Another wrote, “These guys are impressive but the little guy is stealing the show.”
The Elizabeth City State University band program is an integral part of the Music Department since its inception in the early 1930’s. – meetmeonthe50.com.

When all else fails…just cross your arms until the beat moves you.
As the drum majors keep dancing, all eyes are on this tiny guy. He looks out into the crowd as if to make sure people are taking notice of him too. He doesn’t have to worry, he is the show!
