Whenever we hear a ukulele being played, it evokes the image of tropical islands, white sand beaches, crystal blue seas, hula dances and the scorching heat of summer.

Due to the fresh sound it produces, it reminds us of Hawaii. Even so, that didn’t stop this Brazilian duo from covering “Sweet Child O’ Mine” on the ukulele.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Evandro Carlos Tiburski and Fabi Terada, both musicians hailing all the way from Brazil.

In a video uploaded via their YouTube account which has racked up over seven million views, a woman can be seen cradling a cute ukulele with Mickey Mouse as the design.

Don’t be fooled by her adorable instrument though—Fabi slays the iconic guitar intro of the song.

While Evandro is accompanying him with his own ukulele which serves as the guitar and bass. At first, it seems like cover is only instrumental.

Before long though, Fabi starts singing, channeling her inner Axl Rose!

“Sweet Child O’ Mine” is a song by American rock band Guns N’ Roses.

When they first formed, the band consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler.

Their famous song “Sweet Child O’ Mine” appeared on their debut album Appetite for Destruction. The song was released in August 1988 as the album’s third single and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. What started as a string skipping exercise and a joke at the time became a number one single for the group!

The couple in the video are both very talented musicians—and their talent made Evandro and Fabi create the Overdriver Duo last 2014. Aside from making covers of their favorite songs, they also release their own original music.

Fabi is showcasing another talent of hers which is singing—and she is really good at it.

She easily belts out the high notes of the song excluding Axl Rose’s signature raspy voice, but she is a rock star all on her own. Her voice is clear and she has natural vibrato making their performance one of a kind.

Evandro, on the other hand, is an amazing guitarist.

He managed to perform Slash’s famous guitar riff on ukulele while still hitting all the notes and not missing a beat.

The whole time, Fabi performs the rhythm part flawlessly—and then she starts singing the last part of the song.

The way they perform together is so effortless, and they make the whole thing look as easy as breathing! Without a doubt, their performance is one of the more creative covers we’ve ever seen of this song. They have the ukulele chops and the vocal talents—and we’re going to be watching this again and again!
