It takes a lot of time and effort to plan a wedding. After all, the soon-to-be-married couple wants everything to be perfect for their special day. This is especially true for the bride who suddenly becomes hyper-focused on the smallest of details.
If you’ve been married, you understand. There are so many things to select, flowers, gowns, decorations, photography, and even music. Once two people exchange “I do’s,” they head to the reception. That’s when all the guests, including the bride and groom, can kick back and have some fun. For this part of the wedding, it’s critical to choose the right DJ.

For Sara and Brendon’s wedding, they took a lot of time choosing the person to DJ their reception. They wanted someone professional but who could work the crowd. They felt confident in their decision.
The unexpected
While they anticipated the DJ would do a great job, something was going on behind the scene that the couple knew nothing about. Sara and Brandon held their wedding in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. As part of that, they organized their reception inside a huge barn that was magnificently decorated.

In a video that’s now been viewed more than 250,000 times, you see the band members of Rascal Flatts cruising down a road. Unbeknownst to Sara and Brandon, they were about to get the surprise of a lifetime. Yep, these guys were on their way to crash the wedding reception.
Their faces say it all
Sara and Brandon had planned their first dance together as husband and wife to be to one of Rascal Flatts’ songs. So, when the time came for them to take the dance floor, the bride’s sister tells the couple to look toward the door. As soon as they see the band members, their jaws drop.
The excitement grows
As other guests recognize the wedding crashers, they too become super excited. Come on, it’s not every day that such incredibly talented musicians crash a wedding. Everyone was in disbelief.
Here’s the cool part
Rascal Flatts didn’t plan to play just any song. No, they were there to perform “God Bless the Broken Road,” the same one the couple had chosen for their first dance. But instead of the music coming from the DJ, it came from the band itself.
Meeting the band
Of course, the couple had the opportunity to meet each member of the band. They didn’t just talk but received and gave a lot of hugs. For Rascal Flatts to come to their wedding was beyond belief and so appreciated.
Mingling with guests
For these guys, crashing Sara and Brandon’s wedding wasn’t about just showing up, playing a song, and then bolting. These are true country gentlemen and they wanted to stay for the party. While there, they spent time talking with guests, making this day special for them, too.
Almost speechless
The couple’s reaction after the band played was priceless. They were in the dark about this the entire time and to them, they felt honored to have such an amazing band appear and perform at their wedding.
A perfect beginning
If you’re going to start your marriage right from day one, this is the way to do it. Even with all the detailing in the beautiful decorations, nothing topped this. This was a fairytale wedding for sure.
