Classical music has the power to tug at the heartstrings, to evoke emotions from deep within us despite the absence of words.

This kind of music will you feel a myriad of things from joy to anguish to sorrow. A certain melody or part of the song is enough to give us tears or chills. Whether on piano or violin (or in this video’s case, a cello), it is certain to entertain.

The Godfather is an American crime film released in 1972, directed by Francis Ford Coppola who co-wrote the screenplay with Mario Puzo.

It is based on Puzo’s best-selling 1969 novel of the same name. The Godfather is hailed as one of the greatest and most influential films ever made, particularly in the gangster genre.

In a video uploaded on her official YouTube account, we are welcomed with a low baritone sound of a cello laced with the melancholy of a piano.

As the clip begins, a woman paces back and forth in front of a floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at a vast view of the seas and an ancient-looking city. That woman is Vesislava Todorova, a cellist hailing all the way from Bulgaria.

For those who are unfamiliar with the cello, it is like the big sister of violin and younger sibling of a double bass.
