Sam Tompkins, a 21-year-old singer, decides to cover a Beatles’ classic after getting inspired by Danny Boyle’s Beatles biopic.

He recorded the cover outdoors where he sat on a patch of grass with his guitar. Even without a recording microphone, the clarity of his recording still sounds good enough that it’s like it was done in a studio.

On a normal, peaceful day, Tompkins decided to show off his guitar skills. He began the song by softly fingerpicking the intro to “Yesterday.” After some time, you can hear the notes coming out of his mouth as he starts into the first verse.

His vocal runs are as smooth as butter—and it’s hard to deny that his voice and accent aren’t perfectly suited to the song!

It was a clean take on the song with a little bit of soul added in, and the people instantly fell in love with his voice—they were astounded by it!

This singer-songwriter’s popularity is rising nonstop.
