Great musicians are not just the ones we see on TV.

As it turns out, they can often be found jamming out nearly anywhere you could think of. Yes, underrated musicians are the ones we see perform in the subways, in the park or even in the streets.

A month ago, Dublin City Today posted a video of a street performer playing Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” for the crowd on Grafton Street. The video instantly gained fame and reached 3.4 million viewers, rising to YouTube’s recommended videos.

The performer in question was a man named Jacob Koopman.

For those who don’t know, Koopman is currently a songwriter and performer in Ireland, though he was born and raised in Bali, Indonesia. He busked in the streets of Dublin for a long time and eventually found his way to his fame and success.

Since he started performing in Ireland, he has become beloved by the people there as a result of his sweet, enchanting voice and his unique style as an indie singer.

When the audience saw Koopman perform, they all went wild.

Gasps and sounds of awe were heard on the streets the moment Koopman uttered the first few lyrics of the song. Strangers or not, the people bundled together and sang along with him. Suddenly, all the sound from Koopman’s mic got cut off and he stopped to fix it.

To his surprise, the crowd still went on with the song without him! Even though he was having difficulties, everyone around him created a truly heartwarming scene. When he finally fixed his sound system, he continued singing with a wonderful crowd backing him up.

The people came to enjoy the moment and by the end, they definitely did. They didn’t bother to bring up their phones to record it—instead, they joined in to create something unforgettable that day!

In all, it was a picturesque scene of a busker and his loyal fans.

It is a dream come true for any busker to bring people together through their music, and that’s what exactly happened at Grafton Street. Koopman has been rounding up people in Dublin for years, but this could be the biggest crowd ever seen with him!

The bonding, positivity and love present in this picture-perfect scene is enough to make anyone think that the whole world should be a little more like this.

Although Koopman is a busker, he’s also and an up and coming musical artist.

Koopman still busks on the streets of Dublin to this day and has already had some success as a musical artist. He wrote plenty of originals and has already produced an album and an EP that are currently available on music streaming platforms such as Spotify, iTunes and Deezer.

His busking has made him get this far and his success has inspired others like him. If this is your first time hearing about him, you should probably try to look him up and listen to some of his songs!
