Some buskers have performances that don’t go as they plan.

When you play enough, anything can happen. And sometimes other people even try to join in! Even so, it’s pretty surprising when the audience outdoes them during their own show. And that’s exactly what happened in the streets of York, England in this impromptu performance.

The guy was invited to an impromptu performance after his friends forced him to sing.

It was just another day in York when a group of people came across a female busker performing on the side of the street. Right away, they decided to stay and watch her until something unexpected happened. It was just after work ended that they saw her, and the group urged one of their friends to join her.

Although he was rearing to go, he hesitated because he felt like he wasn’t allowed to interrupt the performance. When the busker finally took notice of them, she immediately asked him to sing with her.

After that, he takes over the show with his jaw-dropping voice!

In the middle of performing the song “Feeling Good” (originally composed by English composers Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse) in the style of Nina Simone and Michael Bublé, this Englishman casually let out a powerful voice that surprised everyone around him. His vocals are so impressive that it’s clear right away that his skills are far beyond any amateur singer.

He could prolong his notes perfectly, and he even improvises in the middle of it too! Apart from that, he also has a wide range and a power that he can belt out without straining his voice. The overall quality he shows in his performance is almost unbelievable.

His performance definitely got the crowd jumping on their feet!

During the song, you can see how much the crowd is enjoying every part of it. The people clump together, shoulder to shoulder, and suddenly start kicking the air.

Joel Morrison, the man who took the video of his friend singing along with the busker, posted the footage on YouTube in 2015.

The video received so much love from the internet that the view count rapidly grew to almost six million. The people’s reactions are so priceless that some of them think he should start his own channel where he can post clips of him jumping into other buskers’ performances!

The uploader also admitted that his friend was drunk at the time.

After knowing the fact that he was drunk, someone hilariously commented that it was the alcohol that turned off his inhibitions and made him sing so well! Just imagine how much better he could pull this off if he were sober!

This scene is very rare—you definitely don’t see this every day!
