Dancer Stuns The Crowd To 'Cha Cha Slide' At Party

September 12th, 2019

Are you a good dancer?

Although there aren’t tons of opportunities in life where we need to show off our dance skills, there are definitely some.

If you’re at a friend’s wedding or you’re getting married yourself, you’re definitely going to be expected to get out there and cut a rug at some point. Still, it’s not always easy to look good when you’re dancing. Some of us just don’t have as much rhythm, others of us are nervous that people are looking at us.

For those reasons, there’s always a few songs at these events that DJs play to get everyone into the action.

Though it might be hard to go out there and wing it to a song you like, it’s usually pretty easy to follow simple choreography to a song everyone knows.

If you’ve been to many weddings or parties, you know exactly the kinds of songs we’re talking about. Some of the most famous ones are “Love Shack” by the B-52s, “Macarena” by Los del Rio or “Cotton-Eye Joe” by Rednex.

Still, one of the most ubiquitous of all these songs has got to be “Cha Cha Slide” by Mr. C The Slide Man (though we’re guessing that’s the first time anybody has known that). The song is pretty straightforward, and it lists all kinds of dance moves that a party is supposed to follow along with.

While it’s easy to follow along with, it’s generally not very flashy—until now, that is.

One video uploaded to the internet recently showed just how creative people can get with these dance moves.

The video was seemingly first put online by a YouTube account called David Brown, and it shows a celebration in Guam for San Roke, the Patron Saint of the Sick.

In the video, “Cha Cha Slide” is playing and everyone in the crowd is dancing along with it. Still, there’s one man in the middle of the frame who is definitely standing out from the crowd.

Although he’s doing all the moves the song says, he’s doing them with a bit more style than the rest of the crowd.

For each instruction, he adds all kinds of sassiness and embellishments into it that nobody can keep up with.

Before long, everyone else on the floor has cleared out of the way so that he can do it all himself. When the clapping starts, everyone is stunned by how wild he’s going with the moves.

After that, he pulls a girl from the audience and has her dance with him. Before the song is over, the man is mouthing all of the ad-libbed words in the background of the song as well.

In all, it’s clear that nobody has listened or danced to this song more than this guy has!

Since it’s been uploaded, the video has been shared all over the internet and has millions of views.

Still, it’s not hard to see why. Although the dance was originally for helping people who can’t dance all that well, we’re using this as inspiration to take our dancing game up a notch next time this plays at a wedding!

As this video shows, all you need to do is let loose and have fun and the crowd will follow.

Special thanks to the man in the video for showing us how it’s done! Be sure to watch the whole thing in the link below:
