No matter what country you’re from, being a soldier isn’t easy. The training that soldiers of any kind have to go through is rigorous and full of discipline. The slightest mistake can have huge repercussions.

However, soldiers and their officers are still human beings at the end of the day, and they understand that a little lighthearted fun can go a long, long way when it comes to overall morale, motivation, and camaraderie within the unit.

If there’s a little bit of time to goof around and express themselves, then the more grueling and difficult times will come at less of a toll to their morale.

One awesome way to let off a little steam is to dance. You don’t have to be a great dancer or have any kind of training to enjoy a good line dance. That’s almost the whole point of them, anyone can take part! A step to the left here, a flair of the arm here, and kids from toddlers to age 80 and beyond can enjoy a good line dance, should their health allow. It keeps you young!

These soldiers dressed in green uniforms from head to toe know how to have a good time with a simple cha-cha. Watching them do the simple steps together with such enthusiasm just makes you smile from ear to ear!

One YouTube comment claims that these soldiers are from Vietnam. Judging by the uniforms that is most likely, but it’s not confirmed anywhere by the poster.

Not only is dancing super fun, but it also takes a lot of discipline.

Any dancer will tell you that memorizing the steps and performing them perfectly isn’t an easy thing to do, especially if you’re a beginner! The memory is a muscle that needs flexing, and learning these simple dance moves can actually help soldiers with their muscle memory and help to keep them on their toes.

The things that a military man or woman must go through can be scarring, both emotionally and physically. It takes a very strong will and equally tough body to make it through training and to serve in active duty.

Our military folks deserve so much respect form us for putting everything on the line for all of us back home. There’s no greater gift! That is until they come home safe and sound to their family and friends to make wonderful memories together.

There’s nothing more tear-jerking than watching a military mom or dad return home to their kids, surprising them a few days or weeks early. The amount of joy, relief, and unconditional love in the reactions they give is almost overwhelming. Tears are shed, long embraces are given, and happy laughter rings throughout the room.

But knowing that soldiers take the time to have a little fun, like with this dance, while they’re on duty makes it easier to tolerate the risks they’re taking for us. It’s also so great to see that soldiers from all countries and cultures are able to take the time for their own happiness and recreation.

It goes to show that we’re really all the same at the end of the day – that on a human level we don’t really have many differences at all no matter what we look like or where we come from.
