July 24th, 2020

While some people enjoy dancing for fun, others take it quite seriously. Most of the individuals in the latter group want to hone their skills, hopefully, to become professional someday. To them, dance is everything.

The best dance club ever

For people who are serious about dancing, the Urban Dance Camp or UDC is an elite event. There, instructors teach students how to achieve the highest standards for their talent. Every year, this organization offers an international workshop. Participating are teachers, choreographers, and dancers from more than 40 countries.

A great way to learn

With so many gifted people in one place, dancers have the unique opportunity to showcase their skills but also get critiqued by the best of the best. They meet other people in the dance world and sometimes, connect with new partners from a different country.

What does it entail?

Unlike other workshops, the one the UDC puts on is comprised of over 77 classes over three weeks. For people to participate, they must be at a minimum, 15 years old. Also, this particular program is designed for intermediate and advanced dancers although beginners are also welcome.

Two outstanding dancers

To promote this workshop, its organizers posted a video of two of the participants. Joseph Tsosh and his partner, Alisa Tsitseronova, created choreography to the popular song, Stand by Me.” Watching this, you can see why this dance camp is so prestigious.

True performers

Keep in mind, people come in ordinary clothes rather than costumes. So, to dance like these two without all the smoke and mirrors speaks volumes to their ability. They incorporated the lyrics of the song, “Stand by Me” into their steps. The outcome is phenomenal.
