The bride and groom are the stars of the show on their wedding day – yet, it’s also important to them that their guests have a fabulous time. For this reason, there’s usually a lot of thought and money that goes into food, drinks, and of course, entertainment.

Some couples prefer to keep their receptions traditional, while others like to be creative and think outside the box. When Matt Andersen and Annette Kosin planned their big day they decided to go with the latter and give their guests a performance that would knock their socks off!

Matt and Annette are originally from the beautiful state of Michigan. According to the bride, both “competed in latin dancing in college,” so it makes sense they’d break out their skills on their wedding day.

The lovely couple dedicated themselves to learning a routine for their reception that was choreographed by Steve and Susan McFarren. Get ready for a Jive dance that’s quite impressive indeed!

In the video below, Matt and Annette start out at separate sides of the dance floor. Everyone cheers when the classic tune “Little Bitty Pretty One” begins blasting through the speakers.

Once it hits the lyrics they bust into their routine like a cannonball. Matt spins his new bride as they move light on their feet, looking no different than professionals.

The Jive is a lively style of dance that comes from the early 1930s and is a modification of the Jitterbug.

Matt and Annette rock the dance floor like nobody’s business grooving along to the famous song.

Despite being in heels and a short wedding dress, the bride Annette is able to keep up with her husband during the high-energy routine. Together they show everyone they’re not just your average dancers by executing the moves with precision. Surely though, there had been a lot of practice too!

One YouTube user named Daniel commented:

“As a teacher of ballroom I really appreciate the general flow of the routine and the technique that was displayed was really nice. Song choice was amazing and really suited the style of the routine and the couple from what I’ve seen! Amazing display guys”
