There’s probably nothing in the world more exciting (or more stressful) than being a new parent.
After months and months of waiting, you have a new addition to your family along with all kinds of new responsibilities.
For the first few months (or even first few years), you and your partner will probably not be getting much sleep. There’s plenty of times when you’ll have to get up in the middle of the night to take care of your loved one, particularly if they’re restless sleepers.
Still, as they get older, the bond that you develop together is unlike any other.
But once your child is at least a few years old, that’s when some of the real fun begins.
As any fresh parent knows, some of the most fun you’ll ever have is when your child becomes a toddler.
Although there’s still plenty of headaches and stress to deal with, you also get the privilege of reverting to their level—it’s a brand new chance to have fun and be a kid again! Whenever there’s an opportunity to be as silly as possible with your child, you ought to seize it.
And that’s exactly what the parents in this video decided to do.
The parents in question were Trina and Justin Wesson.
The two live in Oregon and decided a few years ago to have a child, a daughter they named Myla. As part of their everyday routine, Justin gave Myla a bath.
After they were done washing up, Trina and Justin had an idea—what if they did a little lip-syncing performance to one of Myla’s favorite songs before they were done with bath time? Before long, Trina pulled out her phone to film their performance.
And with that, Myla and Justin started the show!
Holding tightly onto one another while mom films, Justin and Myla do their best lip-syncing rendition of “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5.
Although Myla was just two years old when the video was posted in 2018, her lip-syncing skills are already pretty impressive! We’re thinking she just might have a future in musical performance. When it was all over, mom posted it on her Twitter account:

Although the whole thing was just for fun, the video quickly spread around the internet like wildfire!
The Wessons posted the video on all their social media channels—and it soon caught the attention of Maroon 5 themselves!
It was also written up by various news outlets and clearly warmed the hearts of millions of families. The Wessons are an adorable family, and aside from this video, they document their lives together on YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.
