Daughter Is Positive Daddy Has To Be Wrong
There are times we are just convinced we are right. ;)

It’s tough being a dad. You don’t just sit around and offer assistance like the way the internet portrays the whole dad stereotype. Not at all. Good dads work hard to provide for the needs of their families, bond with their kids even after a grueling day at work, fix broken objects, drop the kids off at school, pick them up right after, etcetera. It’s not even an argument as to whose job is tougher. Awesome dads put in as much work as hands on moms do. And that’s not easy.

But you know what’s tougher?

Being a little kid with a dad who just doesn’t get it.

This little girl and her father got into a debate over a pretty serious matter – counting.

Dear old dad, who just so happens to be a teacher, automatically tried to correct his little girl’s way of counting but she wasn’t letting up.

No sir, she was not having it.

Toddlers are different. They’re headstrong and insistent. So engaging in an argument with a confident toddler is basically a no-win situation.

This particular argument went viral fast because of how funny, confusing, and adorable it all was.

The little girl, named Aleah, thinks the right way to count is to skip the number four. “1, 2, 3, 5.”

Dad, of course, tried to correct his little girl. And mom? She was enjoying every minute of it, filming as they walked.

“No, it’s 1,2,3,4,5.”

And instead of nodding, listening, and counting the proper way, she stands her ground, responding with an adamant, “No, it’s 1, 2, 3, 5!”

Dad wasn’t about to wave the white flag himself.

“How are you gonna tell me? How are you gonna tell me? I teach this every day!”

Funnily enough, Aleah doesn’t seem to care that her dad is a teacher, a subject matter expert. So whenever she hears the word ‘four’ mentioned when he counts, she’s quick to jump in and correct him.

“No! It’s 1, 2, 3, 5!”

Oh, boy. Is this a foreshadowing of Aleah’s teenage years?

Brace yourself, dad.

Mom finally decides it’s time to help dad out. She chimes in and agrees that dad’s counting is the proper way. You’d think because mom finally seconded dad’s argument that the little girl would relent.

“No Mommy, that’s 1, 2, 3, 5!” Well, how important is four, anyway?

The little girl may be persistent, but mom is clever.

While dad continues with, “You’re skipping four, you can’t just leave four out. It’s 1,2,3,4,5,” mom has a pretty great trick up her sleeve. Aware that her daughter acknowledges the existence of the number four, mom decides to use that to her advantage.

“Alright, count to four.”

Happy to oblige, the little girl confidently answers, “1,2,3,4!”

The excited little girl decides to show off just a little bit more.

“4,5,6,7,8!”

And what does dad think of all this? Well, he can’t help but gloat that’s for sure. “Point proven!”

They say peace of mind comes when you know how to pick your battles. Well, this is a toddler.

Everything is a battle waiting to happen.

The only difference is, it’s almost always adorable and delightful to witness it or be smack in the middle of it.
