When it comes to acapella groups, Pentatonix is about as good as they get.

For those who don’t know, Pentatonix is a quintet that posts a capella covers to YouTube that sometimes sounds better than the originals. In this video, called the “Evolution of Ariana Grande,” the group shows why they’re the best at what they do.

This is so incredible, it’s hard to believe any group could sound this good!

Pentatonix came on the scene in 2011.

From Austin, Texas, the group consists of five vocalists: Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee. In the “Evolution of Ariana Grande,” Pentatonix remixes short snippets of songs from Ariana Grande’s career in chronological order. The two members in the front beat-box and sing while the three in the back showcase their amazing vocal ranges.

Although their voices are amazing, they had no idea they’d become viral sensations on YouTube through their performances. Even so, it’s easy to see why they became so successful.

After seeing the way they match each other’s harmonies perfectly, it’s like they’re all working from the same brain!

From start to finish, this video will leave viewers stunned. Although Grande is an immensely talented singer in her own right, Pentatonix blends her songs together while putting their own twists on her pop hits. When it comes to vocal control, it’s hard to compare it to anything else!

Throughout the video, the vocalists pass the lead vocal back and forth, with each one showcasing their own brilliant sound. Though each of them is incredibly talented, the best part is to hear the wide range of vocal tones they have between themselves. Without a doubt, Pentatonix’s talent is bar-none—and they just announced another world tour!

In 2020, Pentatonix may be coming to a city near you… and it would undoubtedly be a spectacular live show.

The group is doing another world tour in 2020 that I’m definitely going to check out! Although they’ve already taken the internet by storm, with millions of views on dozens of videos, they’re also becoming TV and movie stars in their own right as well.
