Life is full of surprises and a lot of them are good. Yes, the world is going through some major challenges right now but there are still plenty of positive stories. To keep spirits high, it’s important to focus on things that make you smile, whether before the pandemic or during it.

Obviously, with social distancing and mask-wearing, we don’t experience the same things like we did prior to COVID-19. A perfect example of this is three Russian girls riding on a train. But it’s what they did that caught everyone by surprise.
Angelic voices
In a video that’s now been viewed more than 334,000 times, you see four beautiful young ladies. Almost immediately, they begin to sing. Although the lyrics are in Russian, there’s no question they have amazing talent.
Beautiful harmony
At the start of the video, the one woman on the right with long brown hair sings alone. But shortly, the other three join in. Their voices harmonize flawlessly. It’s so beautiful, you could listen to them over and over again.
Translated lyrics
Unless you speak Russian, you’d have no idea what the song’s about. But fortunately, someone translated the words. It starts with “Beyond the quiet river and birch grove. The first spring flower is bursting into bloom. And I am simply making a wish. And having crossed myself, I will glance to the East.”
A musical journey
As you follow the lyrics in English combined with listening to these girls sing, it’s as though they’re taking you on some kind of magical journey. The words they voice are so heartfelt, which makes the song even more incredible.
The name of the song
This particular song is called “Beyond the Quiet River,” written and performed by Simon Khorolskiy. He too is Russian and amazingly talented. His voice is smooth yet rich. People near and far love his music.
The girls further draw listeners in
As these four girls continue to sing, you can feel yourself pulled in. They go on with the lyrics, “They sky will be colored by scarlet dawn. And the eternal sun will rise over the world. And a white bird will fly over the earth. And bring God’s forgiveness from the heavens.”

Considering they’re traveling on a train, there’s no music accompaniment. But by singing a Capello, you get to hear the true beauty of their voices. While we don’t know the girls’ names, hopefully, someone will help guide them toward a music career. They’re that good.

The song continues, “And something big will make itself known to my heart. Such that it is not possible to take it in during my lifetime. And it will become peaceful and sweet like in childhood…when my mother hugged me.”
