It’s typical for a bride and groom to incorporate a few traditions into their wedding reception – such as speeches, dances, and the cutting of the cake. Nowadays though, more and more couples are also thinking of clever ways to surprise (and entertain) their guests. We’re talking choreographed dance performances, of course!

Despite there being a million things to do when planning a wedding – people are still making time to learn dance routines for “the big day.” It’s not just engaged couples either. Family members, friends, and wedding parties have been joining in on the fun as well.

They look super-cool from the start.

In the video, the boys join the groom on the dance floor, and each one is decked out in sunglasses and a fedora. However, don’t expect them to transform into the Blues Brothers for a performance of “Soul Man!” Naturally, they selected the ultimate “funky” song to dance to…

Who’s ready for a little “Uptown Funk?”

As soon as the music fills the room the trio starts clapping their hands. Cheers can be heard from the crowd, who was unaware they’d planned a special dance performance.

YouTube user, Sonny Lang, wrote the following in the video description:

“My uncle gets married and at the reception everyone is so surprised to see what happens!!!!!!!!!!”

These guys have some pretty sweet moves.

Not only are they stylish, but the three of them know how to work a dance floor too! They move with rhythm to the song, trying to stay coordinated with each other. But the best part is it seems like they’re having a blast getting their groove on.

It’s the perfect song choice.

Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” (featuring Bruno Mars) was released in late 2014. The track was a huge hit, topping charts in countries across the globe. As of now, the music video has over 3.9 billion views on YouTube alone!

“Uptown Funk” has become a popular song choice for wedding receptions. In 2016, it even earned the number one spot on Billboard’s “Wedding DJs’ 100 Most Popular Party Songs” list.

This trio might have you dancing along.

For a lot of us, it’s hard to sit back and listen to “Uptown Funk” without tapping our feet. But these guys bring it to another level with their fun and soulful dance moves. Who knows, if Ronson and Mars need some backup dancers one day – perhaps they’ll look them up!

It’s a surprise dance performance you don’t want to miss.

The fact that the groom chose his young ring bearers to be his dance partners is quite special. Instead of it being about absolute perfection, it’s three dudes having a blast rocking the dance floor.

But like icing on the cake, it also means they got to spend tons of time practicing the routine together. How sweet is that?

It ends with a flip.

Performances are even better when they have an awesome ending. For this one, it involves the older ring bearer doing a backflip. Luckily for the bride – the groom decides against doing his own.
