Sure there are big name artists like country singer Alan Jackson or pop singer Lauren Daigle that have sang the song, but one simple YouTube cover stands out among the rest.

Youtuber Acapeldridge, also known as G. Michael Eldridge, sings the song beautifully. Whats even more amazing is that he does it all a cappella, and his backup singers are himself.

Eldridge was always interested in music and began singing with his family from a young age. At first it was solely in church, but after he started college at Purdue he joined a Glee club and discovered his true passion. With the help of a friend he discovered an app that allowed him to layer different videos side by side, creating the effect that he has in “It is Well”. From that, his channel was born and is full of videos similar to this, each one more popular than the last.

“My greatest desire is to serve my God with the gift that He has given me: Today I can sing and so I will. If I can sing tomorrow, I’ll sing tomorrow too. But the highest goal for which I fight daily is is to sing praises to my God, in His presence, in Heaven. What a day it will be!” Eldridge says, describing his relationship with singing and the Lord.
