It seemed like just another typical day at the airport until the unexpected started happening, one after the other. First, it was an interruption in the form of singing. A beautiful flight attendant with a warm smile on her face welcomed the passengers with a greeting along with a Christmas countdown. She then urged everyone to join her in singing a well-known Christmas carols.

At first, she sang “Winter Wonderland” alone without any musical accompaniment. Moments later, other flight attendants stood from where they were waiting and joined in, all of them singing in perfect harmony.

The surprising treat made some passengers sing along while smiles spread across the faces of others walking past. Airport staff stationed in different areas slowly stood from where they were and made their way to the rest who were already gathering and singing together. The gradual formation of airport attendants was even more delightful to witness because of the pleasing audio backdrop: the sound of their voices blending beautifully together.

Passersby slowed down to listen and watch, some of them eagerly filming the performance.

Babies and children were also grinning and clapping, while teenagers and grownups couldn’t help but smile at the joy of it all.

Despite the fact that not everyone in the airport understands the meaning of Christmas and why it is celebrated, there is just no denying that being taken by surprise with angelic voices singing a familiar holiday tune is always a welcome treat.
