When it comes to shows like America’s Got Talent, only the most talented and full-package performers make it to the very end.

Let’s face it: what these reality competition shows have proven to us beyond a doubt is that there are so many talented people in the world. What seems to set people apart on these shows is that extra special something that goes beyond the raw talent. It’s the inspirational back story or the unique struggles that they had to overcome to get where they are today.

In the case of one recent performance on the show, the group in question had all the necessary ingredients.

As the clip starts, a huge group of people walks out to the center of the stage to talk to the judges.

After a moment, they introduce themselves as V. Unbeatable, a massive dance crew from Mumbai, India. Before they go into their actual performance, judge Gabrielle Union asks them what life is like there. “Life in Mumbai is very hard,” one of the dancers explains. “Life in the slums, they don’t get proper water.” Before long, he trails off as he’s getting too emotional.

Shortly after, there’s a clip explaining the backstory of this incredible dance group.

The dance crew consists of 28 different members between the ages of 12 and 27.

Although they’re all from Mumbai, many of the people there live in the city’s slums. In those areas of the city, many people don’t have clean water, proper electricity or much privacy at all—in fact, it’s not uncommon for seven to 10 people to be staying in one room together. Regardless of their hard background, the group says that the best parts of their life are when they’re all dancing together and forgetting their troubles.

It was that exact passion that brought them all to the America’s Got Talent stage.

With all that in mind, the group gets ready to perform!

Needless to say, this audition was truly a dream come true for the group. With that, they start the performance. At first they all start in silence. Before long, the group forms a huge dance pyramid and tosses many of the performers through the air. Before long, they’re doing an incredibly fast and sharply choreographed dance moves all in unison with one another.

Still, what truly steals the show is some of the daring aerial moves that they manage to pull off!

Because some of the performers are so young and so small, they’re able to fly much further than other dancers.

Although all of the moves are incredibly dangerous, they’re also absolutely breathtaking. In one move, one of the littler boys sails all the way across the stage in an arc from one group of dancers to another. In another move, the group forms half a pyramid and launches one of the dancers into the air with another right behind him.

In midair, one of the dancers pushes off the other to do a complete flip!

The moves they pull off are so daring that the judges can only gasp!

As the performance goes on, they do all manner of further acrobatic moves that shock everyone in the crowd. When it’s finally all over, V. Unbeatable gets a huge standing ovation from the crowd and the judges alike!

Performances like this are truly incredible because they remind of us just how much talent there is in the world. Despite their difficult circumstances and upbringing, they still defied all the odds and did what was nearly impossible by appearing on America’s Got Talent. Beyond that, their dance skills are virtually unparalleled! With acts like this one, it’s hard not to feel inspired.
