Ed Sheeran is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer who released his first EP in 2011.
Since then, his popularity has only grown. Today, Sheeran has many beloved songs that made him one of the biggest names in pop music. “Perfect” is one of those songs and comes from Sheeran’s third studio album. When 14-year-old Irish singer Allie Sherlock sang the cover in the middle of the street, the space erupted with a great vibe.
Before long, people were drawn to sing along—in multiple languages.
The Irish streets were in a good mood that day.
As the video begins, Sherlock can be seen standing on Grafton Street in Dublin, Ireland. Her notes are ready and it’s chilly, but she’s got her warm jacket on, the wind is playing with her in some unknown rhythm, and her colleague Philly Campbell has his guitar by her side. They’re ready to perform the acoustic version of one of Sheeran’s biggest hits.
Yes, you guessed it, they’re about to make a “Perfect” show.
If you’re a fan of live music, you have heard about Sherlock.
She is a young Irish singer with 2.8 million YouTube followers who became internationally famous after appearing on Ellen. Sherlock has already had a lot of success, but we’ll surely hear more about her as time goes on. One thing’s for sure—she sang Sheeran’s song perfectly and completely owned it. She’s got a brilliant voice and is very sweet on stage.
Right away, Sherlock’s singing makes people stop and listen to her.
It was cold and windy outside, and people were probably in a hurry to get done with the day and go to their warm homes.
Even so, as Allie starts to sing, you can clearly see a lot of people stopping to watch. Everyone is enchanted by her impressive voice! Most of them start moving to the rhythm of her words, taking out their phones to film the whole thing. The way Sherlock slides in and out of falsetto is totally seamless—what a beautiful voice! The more beautiful thing is that it’s owned by a truly humble person, who’s ready to share the stage.
Before long, the girl moves out of the way so that someone from the crowd could come closer.
From all the people who were singing along with Sherlock, one guy stood out in particular.
He was singing loud in Italian, clearly wanting to come closer. Sherlock noticed and moved aside right away, sharing the stage with this lad who obviously knew the Italian version of the song. His voice was also pretty good—it even sounded like he had some training!
It all turned out quite well in the end—completely spontaneous, yet amazing.
If we didn’t know that he appeared right out of nowhere, we would have thought they rehearsed it. Someone should definitely notify Sheeran to check this out if he hasn’t already seen this.

Sherlock already had a major surprise when Justin Bieber shared one of her videos on his Instagram.
We somehow think that this performance will also become a sensation. The man who sang with Sherlock is a 17-year-old busker named Cuan Durkin. After digging a little bit, we’ve found out that he often performs on the streets of Dublin as well.
There’s one thing we have to say: the people of Ireland must be happy to have such great music on the street!
