Although reality competition shows have spread all over television, we’re generally used to seeing a lot of singers and dancers on them.

Still, there are plenty of other talented people in the world who have skills that don’t quite fit that mold. Fortunately, shows like the Got Talent franchise allow for virtually any kind of act that you could think of.

Over the years, the show has had mimes, jugglers, and all kinds of other acts. To keep things more simple, however, there’s also the ability for people who play classical instruments to come on as well.

And one of those performances on Britain’s Got Talent from 2014 was particularly memorable.

Like any of the other Got Talent shows, this one begins with the contestant walking out onstage and introducing herself.

As she explains to the judges. her name is Lettice Rowbotham, “like the salad” she says. A moment later, the judges tell her that she just might be the poshest person who has ever been on the show!

Rowbotham lives in Surrey in England and is just 24 years old. As she explains, she got interested in playing violin at a very young age and has been totally in love with it ever since!

Finally, she explains that she’s excited to share her abilities with the audience.

After that, the judges clear the way for her to perform.

While her initial impression is a pretty wacky and strange one, everything changes the moment she starts playing violin. Although we’re used to hearing relatively restrained performances from a violinist, this one is completely wild!

Rather than playing a classical song, she works her way through several uptempo pop songs including “Demons” by Imagine Dragons and “Counting Stars” by One Republic.

Towards the middle of the performance, she’s shredding on the violin just about as fast as it’s possible to.

It doesn’t take long for the audience to get on their feet and give her a huge round of applause!

After her audition is over, it’s time for the judges to give her some feedback. As they go down the line, all they have to say about her are kind things. At first, they tell Rowbotham that she seems like she spreads joy everywhere she goes.

Beyond that, she’s also got a great look and is a talented musician to boot! Perhaps above everything else, she really put on a great performance. As judge Simon Cowell says, Rowbotham has such a great personality that she’s hard to resist.

Needless to say, she gets four yeses from the panel!

Though it’s definitely clear that she’s unique and talented, Rowbotham clearly had an extra special ingredient as well!

Beyond just the ability to perform or the technical skill to do something, she had the stage presence and the warmth to win over the hearts of the whole crowd.
