What do you think when you hear about a group of nuns getting together for a good time?

If you’re like most people, you probably think their off time is pretty boring.

But you’d be surprised at just how fun and exciting nuns can be.

Just because they’ve chosen to live their lives differently than most other people do doesn’t mean they can’t let loose now and then.

But since that’s not something we’re too used to seeing, it’s a real treat when we do.

After all, who doesn’t love the movie “Sister Act”?

That one’s a classic and you don’t necessarily have to be Catholic to enjoy it.

A fun group of nuns

There are some fun nuns out there who really know how to let loose.

But have you ever seen them before? If not, do some research online. There are tons of videos.

One video went viral

In this particular video, you see a group of nuns who perform a dance.

Not something you’d expect. But surprisingly, they’re pretty good.

Then you realize that they have to dance in their habit.

They have to because it’s part of who they are, signifying that they are consecrated to God as well as living very simply.

A slow start

At the beginning of the video, the nuns all face away from the camera.

Their hands are behind their backs. Then, the music begins.

Church music

The music starts like a chorus you’d hear in church.

This makes sense since you’re looking at a group of nuns.

Their movements are slow and intentional, which seems fitting for the song, “I Will Follow Him.”

Turning around

Finally, the dancing nuns turn around. They start doing a lot of movements with their hands.

Even so, their dancing is still quite conservative.

Now they were little girls once. Women enter the convent at different ages depending on when they get “the call”.

But there’s still a lot of energy there!

A change of pace

Suddenly, the tempo of the music changes.

It starts to pick up speed and get more intense.

At that moment, you can tell the dancers are getting ready to take it up a notch.

Told you there’s lots of energy to go around.

Upbeat music

When the music reaches its faster pace, the nuns start dancing even more.

This is when they really showcase their moves.

The movements look like they’re in a Zumba class. Who wouldn’t want to take a class with these fun-loving nuns?

A great workout

Not only do the nuns look like they’re having a lot of fun but they’re probably also getting some pretty good exercise.

The dance might not look hard at first but once you’ve been moving around for several minutes as these nuns did, you’d likely lose your breath.

You may not have a habit in your closet but try to find something similar to wear, then try to dance.

The end of the dance is by far the best part. They arrange themselves into different formations and end with their arms outstretched.

From the looks on their faces, they seem proud of themselves and they should be.

Would you dance with them?

Most people don’t often get to interact with nuns. But when it comes to this group, you’d probably have an amazing time, especially if you had the chance to dance with them.

Would you join their dance class if you had the opportunity? We certainly would.

If you need something to cheer you up, make you smile, or just get you in a better mood, you have to see this video for yourself. If you’re feeling really ambitious, you could even learn how to do the same dance they did.

Check out their entertaining dance in the video below!
