The capital of Norway, Spanish Flamenco and flash mobs.

That might not be a combination that makes sense when you first hear it, but this video should clear everything up. Here is an incredible flamenco flash mob that will have you up on your feet and dancing!

As the video begins, a girl walks down the street singing in Spanish.

You can see that it’s a very busy street, with a lot of coffee shops on both sides.

There are a lot of people and everyone is wearing jackets and scarfs. A few moments later, you see a girl wearing nothing but a T-shirt walking down that same street, clapping her hands and singing.

Everyone is looking at her, wondering what she’s up to.

When a man who dances flamenco joins her in the middle of the street, everything becomes pretty obvious—there’s a performance going on! Before long, the street is filled with dancers of all ages and everyone starts dancing. Soon enough, a crowd comes near to watch and film the whole thing. Suddenly, everyone’s feeling warm, happy and in the mood to dance!

For those who don’t know, flamenco is based on the various folk music traditions of southern Spain.

The term flamenco is used to refer to a variety of Spanish musical styles.

It has been influenced and associated with Romani people in Spain, but its origin and style are uniquely Andalusian. Flamenco has become popular all over the world, especially in the United States and Japan. Believe it or not, there are more flamenco academies in Japan than there are in Spain!

On November 16, 2010, UNESCO declared flamenco one of its Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Flamenco dance is known for its emotional intensity, proud carriage, the expressive use of arm movements and rhythmic stamping of the feet. Many different flamenco styles have developed over the years, and some of them are marketed as “flamenco nuevo” or “the new flamenco.”

What we see in this video is an excellent interpretation of the original flamenco and flawless choreography.

It’s impressive how all the participants have taken it very seriously, and we applaud the dedication.

As it turns out, there’s even an Oslo International Flamenco Festival.

The Festival was formed in 2015 and the OIFF Board of Directors has all the support from Spanish professional artists, managers and artists from other countries.

The level of collaboration here is quite fantastic, and we suggest you visit the official website for more information.

We were taken aback by how much Norwegians love flamenco!

This video was produced by Rebel Austria, and the choreography was done by Bellali Austria. There is so much international collaboration here, you’d be amazed! The music you’re hearing in the video is “Tango de Los Peines” by José Anillo.

We love to see countries coming together because of art.

Whenever art inspires different cultures to do a common project, awesome results are about to happen.

That’s exactly what you see here. A lot of participants from Norway and Scandinavia came to learn flamenco, which is a Spanish dance.

The choreography was done by artists from Austria, and now the whole world can enjoy the incredible flash mob. How cool is that?

The crowd that was present certainly appreciated the whole show, and we’re always sorry to miss such amazing live performances!
