We all had that kid in the classroom with us who kept quiet and shy but turned out to have some amazing talent.
A similar thing happens in this video when a group of kids at school sit down and one of them starts filming their classmate who has a truly heavenly voice. The video title says it all: “a surprisingly good singer.”
He truly is the boy with the golden voice!
The video dates back to 2015.
We see a couple of school kids sitting on the floor, and one of them is filming the performance with his smartphone. The video is short but very sweet. This talented boy is surrounded by girls, and they all start melting as soon as he releases the full power of his beautiful voice. The song is “Chasing Pavements” by Adele, and his version of it is sure to take your breath away! It surely brings back a lot of memories.
As the camera pans around, we see more children—everyone is sitting around and enjoying their friend’s little show.
It’s refreshing to see kids united in music, friendship and enjoying their youth in the best possible way. The only thing better would be if they were sitting on the grass under some trees with guitars! The whole video reminds us of a really cool picnic, and we completely enjoyed it.
As it turns out, the boy in the video is Mark Taylor, who grew up to be a handsome singer and an activist.
We had to dig a little bit deeper to find out who the boy is.
Today, we found out that he has an Instagram account has 16,900 followers. As it turns out, he also has an official YouTube channel with 12,500 subscribers as well. His profile describes him as a singer, model, activist, dancer, artist and actor.
Though he may have been shy at one point, Taylor is now a multi-talented individual who seems on his way to stardom!
He’s very young in the video and hasn’t even hit puberty yet, but he is all grown up in his recent videos. His voice has developed nicely and you can hear that he’s definitely been practicing a lot.
You know you’re good when all the girls’ eyes are glued on you!
It’s hard to ignore the fact that Mark is surrounded by girls, and they look at him with googly eyes.
The girl on his right seems completely enthralled with his performance. The sweetest moment is when he forgets part of the lyrics and the girl hurries to hug him! Youth is indeed the best period of anyone’s life. We’re guessing that Adele would be immensely proud to hear this! We hope someone signs this guy—he surely deserves it. And the world deserves to hear more from him.
If we had to bet, we’re guessing that we’re going to see more of Taylor in the future.
He seems well on his way to developing a unique style, and we can’t wait to see it. Over 13 million YouTube views prove that people enjoyed the video, as short as it is. After checking out some of his newest videos, we think he’s on a good way to build a name for himself and we wish him the best of luck along the way!
