Siblings usually spend a lot of time together when they’re young, so it’s nice if they can have something in common (besides having the same parents). Two sisters from Kentucky have a unique interest they share that they’ve been wowing audiences with for years.

Lauren and Kaylee Thomas are both talented cloggers and together they’re a champion duo.

Although Lauren and Kaylee often look like twins during their performances, they’re actually several years apart in age. Once the girls begin dancing though – it’s practically an illusion.

The performance below took place at the Clogging Champions of America Showdown competition, where Lauren and Kaylee took the stage in sparkly outfits. If you haven’t seen the Thomas sisters in action, be prepared to be blown away by their dance skills.

After a quick double spin, the sisters jump into their energetic routine.

Clogging is a style of dance that requires swift-moving feet, which are exactly what Lauren and Kaylee have. They rhythmically stomp on the floor to the music, combining it with other moves like kicks, spins, and fancy arm movements.

Lauren and Kaylee’s performance is a contemporary duet with Jess Glynne’s pop song “Hold My Hand” playing in the background. What’s very fitting is that the sisters actually do “hold hands” for a good portion of their act.

On top of being extremely talented – it’s sweet to see the close bond between two siblings who grew up sharing the same passion.

There’s no doubt that all of their skills required a lot of hard work and dedication to achieve. Surely the Thomas sisters also spent a lot of time practicing as a duo in order to be so synchronized. Wouldn’t that be amazing to spend that much time with your sibling?

According to a 2012 article in Doubletoe Times magazine, Lauren and Kaylee (at that point) had already brought home hundreds of awards and trophies. But as we know, they didn’t stop then. This routine is a good example of what they’re capable of and why they’ve been champion cloggers for so many years.

In 2018, Lauren and Kaylee even appeared on the revived television program, The Gong Show, with a “terrifying” and completely entertaining act!

You might feel tired just watching the Thomas sisters in action.

Not only do the girls keep their feet moving, but they also don’t stay in one spot on the stage. Their routine is full of energy and is mesmerizing to watch. It also looks like a ton of fun to do, especially with how they keep huge smiles on their faces throughout the whole performance.

Lauren and Kaylee have won many awards at the Clogging Champions of America (CCA) competitions, and it can be seen through photos on the organization’s social media account.

The CCA’s Facebook page shares:

“Clogging Champions of America is the Pulse of Clogging. The goal of CCA is to create an atmosphere of spirited and sportsmanlike competition, and to provide more opportunities for cloggers within the competitive and entertainment realms.”
