Fernández comes from a long line of talented musicians. He picked up the guitar at the tender age of three years old. His grandfather, Antonio Fernández, started training him as just a toddler and it shows.

In 1989, Fernández’s training paid off when he won the “Bordón Minero” prize, which is the highest award at the Mines’ Singing International Festival. Now, the talented guitarist is a teacher at the Mines’ Singing Foundation Flamenco Art School and performs all around the world.
From the second his fingers start plucking away, you can feel the emotional sound his guitar produces breaking down barriers.
