For a long time, the big dream in entertainment was to make it on a television show or in the movies.

There was always a shared cultural fantasy about making it in the “big time,” getting a starring role on a show that everyone in the country watched and becoming a big star.

Still, as the industry has changed significantly, more and more stars are growing their own audiences organically through the internet! As such, YouTube has become an incredibly popular platform—with even newer platforms like TikTok coming for its place as well.

Still, it’s worth saying that there’s still crossover between the old guard and new media.

For a prime example of that, just consider Ellen.

While Ellen DeGeneres is a wildly popular talk show host who has her own show through NBCUniversal, a major factor in her ongoing popularity is her constant web presence.

Her show maintains its own YouTube channel dubbed “EllenTube,” and on it they post all kinds of clips from the show as well as other interesting snippets of video.

Aside from all that, though, they also actively recruit talent from the internet and bring them over to television!

That was the case in the adorable and awesome performance we’re talking about today.

The clip we’re talking about was posted in March 2017 and features a five-year-old dancer named Tavaris from Detroit, Michigan. As she brings him out, Tavaris starts dancing and breaking out all kinds of incredibly smooth moves from the very beginning.

As he explains, he’s been dancing for a long time and has even been on the show before!

The last time he was on the show, they even gave him a big bouncy castle!

As it turns out, Tavaris first rose to prominence from home videos of him dancing as a little baby.

Even when he was just three years old and younger, his family shared videos of him dancing online that started racking up all kinds of views.

Although we all have a lot of energy and like to dance when we’re little, there’s something very smooth and professional about all of Tavaris’s moves that not everybody has! After they’re finished with the interview, Ellen invites Tavaris to take to the stage and to show the whole audience all of his skills.

With that, everyone gives him a huge round of applause and he gets on stage.

A moment later, the show starts playing background music… and Tavaris starts busting a move.

Even though he’s so young, it’s rare to see someone with so much attitude and confidence like he does on out the dance floor!

Though he gave the crowd a preview when he first came out, the second half of the performance is even more polished and complete than it was at the beginning.

Although his moves are impressive, it also goes without saying that he’s absolutely adorable!

Since the video was posted, it has earned itself some 49 million views.

Still, it’s easy to see why Tavaris has become so popular online! Although his moves are already very impressive, his skills are sure to only get better and better as he gets older.
