We all had that one teacher we looked up to because they were super cool.

Those are the ones who leave a lasting impact on us, the ones we never forget for the rest of our lives. This teacher from Japan is that guy, and he has his students going wild during an incredible guitar solo. He even went viral for it!

Malmsteen is a legendary guitarist out of Sweden, whose complex neoclassic metal style is hard to cover.

Not for this popular teacher from Sakata Technical High School who plays “I’ll See The Light” by Malmsteen in an epic concert for his students.

The video starts out with the teacher playing off stage, with a jam-packed gym full of students waiting and yelling in anticipation.

When he finally comes up to the stage, the students jump up for high fives before he starts playing some amazing music. We wish school was always like this!

After saying a few words to the students, he starts shredding his Malmsteem cover on the guitar.

This teacher has some serious talent! He gives them a little taste of what’s to come before waving his hands to the crowd and running up for some more high fives.

After engaging the students, he begins furiously playing the second solo until he makes a huge blooper that has the students laughing out loud.

When the teacher tries to channel his inner rockstar by swinging his guitar around his neck, his strap breaks and the guitar goes flying!

The teacher’s rockstar antics didn’t quite work out for him in that moment…

After he loses his guitar, he takes a little break while getting it plugged back in before starting up again with his guitar strap still broken.

Even so, his big mistake just got the students even more excited.

They start chanting something until one brave student jumps up and does something awesome.

One of the students dives off the stage and starts crowd surfing!

That’s when the teacher really starts to go off on his guitar.

He becomes entranced by his instrument and flawlessly plays the complicated song with ease.

For the last part of the performance, the teacher plays for over four minutes straight.

He plays phenomenal guitar riffs that leave all the students watching completely stunned. When he’s done playing, the students start chanting together for him to play more—but the teacher is out of breath.

I don’t think he’s used to playing intense shows like this!

You can see him wiping sweat from his forehead as he waves off the students’ attempts to make him keep playing.

The world needs as many teachers like him as possible, teachers that go out of their way to relate with the students and leave a lasting impression.

If that means more of our high school teachers are going to become professional axmen, then so be it!
