When you have someone in the house who shares the same passion for music as you, it’s not hard to find the time to rehearse and perform together.
The performers in this video are a prime example of this, as they are brother and sister—and it’s clear they’ve been practicing music together their entire lives!
As it turns out, the boy in the video became a YouTube celebrity at an early age.
His name is Andrew Foy and he has an insane talent for guitar.
He was born in 2001 and started his YouTube career in 2011. He started uploading fingerstyle covers on his channel when he was ten years old, and those covers have helped him build a large fan base for himself.
He is currently 18 years old and has already amassed 2.5 million subscribers on his channel.
Foy continues to play the guitar for his fans, and his success is only getting bigger and bigger. His channel has currently 268 million accumulated views, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down!
These two have their own unique talents for music and they use them to complement each other.
Andrew was particularly skilled at fingerstyle guitar, while his sister Renee has such a wonderful voice.
When they perform they are like cream and coffee, going together perfectly.
You would see what I mean when you watch one particular video of his that racked up 1.6 million views after it was uploaded three months ago—their cover of Surf Mesa and Emilee’s “ily.”
The new version of the song uses an excerpt from the original Franki Valli song “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You.”
Surf Mesa extracted the rhythm from Franki Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and turned it into an original lo-fi mix.
Andrew decided to make a stripped-down, acoustic rendition of the song, with the help of his little sister, Renee.
Andrew was using his Baton Rouge X11LS-FE/AB to fingerpick the tune of the song.
He produced a rich, vibrant sound on his guitar, and used the sounds to create amazing harmonies that add to the charm of the original.
We’re guessing viewers will instantly fall in love with his sister’s voice, too!
When Renee found her cue to the song, she let out her angelic voice to sing the song’s relaxing chorus.
Hearing their version of the song is sure to give you goosebumps! In all, Renee’s soft vocals are the cherry on top of her brother’s amazing guitar rendition.
Together, they produced a pleasant song that you won’t get sick of listening to every day.
As his fans have likely noticed, Andrew has been collaborating with his sister more.
Though he started off as a lone guitarist, his sister has appeared in more and more of his recent videos—and she’s a welcome presence.
Another example of the siblings’ great talent is their cover of Lewis Capaldi’s hit, “Before You Go.” Andrew also has an amazing voice, and his vocal register was just perfect for the cover. Of course, he also added his incredible fingerstyle solo just in the case for the viewers who came for the guitar! In all, it’s clear that there are great things ahead for these talented siblings.
