That’s an all around 39.8125 score which ties the highest in NCAA semifinals history. Florida’s representative stunned the audience and the judges in Fort Worth, Texas.

Thomas finished just ahead of Auburn’s Sunisa Lee. Here are the top 5 gymnasts:

  1. Trinity Thomas — Florida — 39.8125
  2. Sunisa Lee — Auburn — 39.6750
  3. Megan Skaggs — Florida — 39.6625
  4. Leanne Wong — Florida — 39.6250
  5. Norah Flatley — UCLA — 39.6000

Thomas did suffer an injury in 2021, and it’s like she took that as a challenge and an opportunity to come back better than ever this season.

The spectacular senior has received three perfect 10s for vault, four for the uneven bars, three for balance beams and now eight perfect 10s for floor performance.

What a career so far.

And all four are a Florida record all her own.

In the semifinals, her score was good enough to secure the all-around title.

She was then crowned champion on floor and on the uneven bars. And it was like everyone knew it.

Trinity was inevitable.

Right before her bar routine, a technical cable difficulty with the uneven bars delayed her performance.

But that didn’t unsettle or throw her off. Thomas waited and still executed an amazing routine.

A delay like that would have thrown of many other athletes, but not Thomas.

She went ahead and stuck her landing which sent her teammates into a full blown “perfect 10” chant.
