It’s easy to get bored doing the same thing over and over again.

This applies to everything from playing sports, playing video games, eating out, dating, making music, and more. We crave excitement and new discoveries, and we’ll go to any lengths to find them.

Kevin Freshwater a British comedian spends his time making a lot of videos to entertain his fans.

Freshwater usually creates prank videos and uploads them to his YouTube, Instagram and Facebook pages. In fact, one of his popular videos entitled “Crazy Scotsman Prank” became popular and spread like wildfire! But he wasn’t expecting to unearth a brand new talent!

One day, he decided to do a “finish the lyrics” segment he sings part of a song and the people around him finish it.

It started awkwardly, as he just went straight up to anyone he saw and told them to “finish the lyrics.”

Kevin met different kinds of people on the road, some of whom were into the game and some who weren’t interested!

He meets a man with horns and a nose ring, two ladies relaxing at a café, people who told him to go away, and one man in the subway with a good vocal range. Finally, he meets a woman who truly shocks him.

He starts singing the lyrics: “tell me something, girl, are you happy in this modern world?”

While still walking and holding her coffee, she keeps singing the song without missing a beat—and she hits the high notes perfectly! To his surprise, her voice is truly incredible.

Some say her version is even better than the original.

She sounds like a singer from the ’80s who time-traveled into the present era to show us how it’s done!

When Kevin uploaded the video on YouTube, the lady in the subway went viral.

The video even got the mainstream media’s attention! She became known as the woman “wanted” for the crime of being an awesome singer.

Below is the original video from Freshwater’s YouTube account:

She went from underrated to an instant internet star.

The woman in the video is Charlotte Awberry, and not only does she sound like a woman in the ’80s—she also dresses like one. She is a professional singer and songwriter but did not really go mainstream until this video went viral.

She was then invited to The Ellen Show where she sang Lady Gaga’s “Shallow” accompanied by backing instruments. She wowed all the fans in the audience and Ellen was so impressed with her talent, she gave her a one-year free pass on the London tube and £10,000 in cash.

Catch that stunning performance in the video below:

She keeps on slaying the internet with her new videos.

Awberry can be seen performing different songs like “Chandelier,” “A Whole New World”, “I Will Always Love You,” and many more. You can also watch her original cover of “Shallow” before her subway interaction with Kevin:
