Do you remember Isaac Waddington, an English singer and pianist whose dazzling 2015 BGT audition will forever be a special live version of Joel’s hit song?

Waddington has been up to several exciting projects since the competition ended. Last year, Isaac released an EP that made us remember him. Let’s check up on him a bit and enjoy his newest songs along the way.

Before coming to national attention, Waddington was a chorister at Chichester Cathedral.

Interestingly, Waddington’s singing career began at The Prebendal School, where he was a Head Chorister of the school choir. In 2012, then 13-year-old Isaac won the BBC Radio 2 Chorister of the Year competition, which led to the appearance on Songs of Praise.

Three years later, Waddington entered Britain’s Got Talent competition and changed the course of his career forever.

Right after the competition ended, Waddington was signed by Simon Cowell’s label, Syco.

In the finals of BGT, Isaac performed the same song he sang in the audition, “She’s Always a Woman.” He wanted to show how much he’d progressed over time. In the end, Isaac finished 5th out of 12 contestants.

Waddington’s first single, “Nothing’s Changed,” came out in February 2018.

In 2019, Isaac promised to release five songs in five weeks, but he ended up releasing only four songs at the time. A year later, Waddington surprised his fans with an EP called Dirty Mile.

Waddington has never stopped performing covers of songs on his YouTube channel.

Undoubtedly, Isaac’s 44.1K YouTube subscribers must be thrilled that he’s never stopped performing some of the most beloved songs of all time. From John Legend’s “All of Me” to “Lovesong” by Adele, you’ll find versatile content on Isaac’s channel.

However, we recommend you to check out his newest song—the acoustic version of “Dirty Mile” is absolutely divine.

Despite changes in the appearance, Waddington’s powerful vocals are the same. Isaac’s all grown up now, his look has changed a lot, and that’s completely natural. Nevertheless, the fantastic voice that won thousands of fans over still shines through. We remember when Isaac auditioned in 2015.

He was young and nervous, but all four judges said yes after hearing him sing.

Hearing him perform his newest songs gives us fabulous flashbacks of little Isaac on the huge BGT stage. The boy has the gift to captivate anyone with his singing.

“Yes, keep it up, man. I love all your stuff,” is one of the numerous compliments on YouTube.

It’s easy to enjoy Isaac’s soft voice, and the song he chose back in the audition suited him perfectly.

No wonder he decided to continue going in that direction. Isaac’s songs are soothing, and the melody is always superb.

When asked why he began pursuing a music career, Waddington told MTV in 2019 that the music was “the only thing he could do.”

“I sort of always knew I’d do something in music, whether it be a professional classical singer, pianist, or a contemporary artist. I just knew that it was the only thing I could do and love at the same time.”
