When it comes to popular artists who are working today, it doesn’t get much bigger than Twenty One Pilots.

Although rock music has taken a backseat to some other genres, somehow Twenty One Pilots has remained relevant and popular amidst all the other music out there.

For those who don’t know, the group was formed in Columbus, Ohio in 2009. Though the group does incorporate some hip-hop elements into their sound, the main focus seems to be on paying tribute to the roots of rock music and keeping it alive today.

To hammer that point home, the group also did a special video online which has been getting plenty of attention.

While we’re used to hearing the group do louder, more aggressive music, they decided to take things down a notch in one video.

The group decided to post a cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley. As the video starts, lead singer Tyler Joseph can be seen sitting in the backseat of a car strumming a ukelele.

Before long, he’s singing the iconic lyrics of the classic song. Although he’s alone in the frame, the rest of the band starts playing backing music from off the screen.

Though the performance begins in this intimate setting, it gets more interesting shortly after.

In the next frame, Joseph is walking away from the van in the backstage area of a concert venue.

As he strolls along, he sits down next to a man on the sidewalk and keeps singing along. After that, he’s out front in line with all the people waiting to see the concert!

After a moment, he invites everyone in the crowd to sing along with him. After that, the video cuts again to Joseph backstage seemingly right before going onstage.

While the video keeps jumping around, what happens next is the perfect cap on the entire performance.

In the final cut, Joseph is fully onstage with the rest of the band and they’re serenading the crowd.

A moment later, the camera pans to all the kids in the audience who have their hands in the air, swaying and singing along!

Although Joseph’s cover of the song is beautiful and does justice to the original, one of the best things about the performance is how it pays tribute to all of the band’s young fans! While it’s easy to become popular and forget about your roots, it’s clear that Twenty One Pilots are still so grateful for all of their success.

Needless to say, the fans were more than happy to be involved as well!

So far, the video has been viewed nearly 130 million times on YouTube!

While plenty of people dream of beings famous and having a huge platform one day, we don’t always think about what it takes to get there and to maintain it.

The truth is that to be lifted on such a high pedestal, it means that tons of other people are looking up to you and seeing what you have to say. If you don’t nourish those relationships, it could all disappear. Fortunately, videos dedicated to the fans like this one are a good way to keep a relationship with them.

Thanks to Twenty One Pilots for paying tribute to the fans! Watch the full performance in the clip below:
