We aren’t talking about professionals or famous people, but everyday people that might go unnoticed.

The video’s comments are full of people trying to get the young singer recognized by Wizkid, a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Other comments on the video praise Boy Spyce for his talent. Many people agree this young man’s talent is untapped, and it would be a waste for a label not to sign him!
In the video, you can see how much passion he has for singing.
Covering an artist’s song is one of the most flattering things a fan can do.
It shows true respect for the work and the effort put into creating it. People like Boy Spyce show their appreciation for an artist by taking the time to sing their song. Even musicians with well-established careers of their own take the time to pay homage to their favorites by covering songs. Of course, the covering artist always puts their own spin on the song to make it cohesive with their own sound.
For example, you might not know that Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” was actually a #1 hit by Dolly Parton a decade before Houston’s rendition?
Or that Bruce Springsteen’s “Jersey Girl” is a cover of a Tom Waits song? We know, shocking!

It just shows how music is fluid and can be adapted into different styles by different artists. However, sometimes the cover is better than the original.
But music is subjective, right? Everyone has different tastes in sound, and we often stick to what we like.
But, if you get the chance, check out some fan covers of your favorite musicians. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at what you find! Fan-made covers like Boy Spice’s are on another level.
They aren’t necessarily made for fame or money but purely out of the love of singing, and they are often full of passion and untapped talent.
Famously, Calum Scott launched his own musical career by singing Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” while on Britain’s Got Talent.
His cover hit a soft spot for many, bringing tears to their eyes. Although the lyrics were the same, Scott’s rendition cut deeper. Here’s hoping that Boy Spyce can do the same!
