If we’re to vote for the most likable Hollywood artist in this day and age, it’ll probably be Keanu.

Keanu Reeves, widely known for his roles as Neo in The Matrix and John Wick in the same-titled movie, is beloved by fans all over the world not only because of his talent and looks.

Recently, a post has been circulating about another Keanu moment that had his fans swooning once more. As if the legends around his deeds aren’t enough.

The 54-year-old actor got everyone’s attention on his hand.

The collection of photos included in the post shows Reeves posing with women – fans and celebrities alike. And through these photos, fans noticed a recurring element – his hand, or at least where it was placed.

We see people wrapping an arm around women and holding onto their waist, shoulders, or hips. Not Reeves, however, because in all of those photos, his hand was just hovering.

The post claimed that Reeves “ain’t taking no chances”.

This might be a reference to how people chastised the #MeToo movement and its alleged “over-vigilance” on body contact. One commenter claimed that it was Reeves’ strategy to avoid any accusation of inappropriate behavior.

Other fans, however, defended Reeves and said that it was just basic etiquette especially when some people don’t like being touched by strangers.

These fans said that any person can be respectful toward another person’s body without blaming paranoia. It is also considered good manners in countries like South Korea as it shows that “Yes, I’ll be in the picture with you” and “No, I will not be disrespecting your body”.

Reeves doesn’t discriminate.

You can see him wrap his arm over the shoulder of his fans but his hand is an inch or so away from their skin. The same goes when he poses for a photo with other celebrities even if it’s with “the” Dolly Parton.

This was only the surface of the actor’s legendary kindness to everyone. Somehow, people only shared good stories about the actor who they’ve crossed paths with.

It was far from his gritty and cynical characters like his role in Devil’s Advocate.

At one point, another celebrity recalled her embarrassing moment with Reeves. Octavia Spencer shared that she was on her way to her first auditions when her car broke down. A man on a motorcycle helped her and it was no other than Reeves.

The actor has also been known to take pay cuts so that members of his movie crew can be paid better. He is also known for his quiet philanthropy and kind candid moments off-screen.

Reeves’ first exposure to stardom was in 1984 through the comedy series “Hangin’ In”.

He was originally born in Lebanon then moved to Sydney, New York, then Toronto where he grew up. He had his film debut in Youngblood in 1986 then caught a break in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

He then became an action star in Speed and in the hugely successful The Matrix Franchise. His action star fame only got better from there, especially after starring in the equally successful John Wick franchise.
