Time and time again, Queen has been a permanent resident of music charts all over the world. And it’s not surprising given the enduring songs they have written over the years.

But through the albums they’ve released, they still have other songs just waiting to be discovered.

Just last week, the band released one of their “forgotten” songs.

Yes, we do know We Will Rock You, Hammer to Fall, We Are The Champions, and Princes of the Universe, but underneath the stacks of these albums, there’s still one song that the band’s lead, Freddie Mercury, has hidden from the public.

The song’s existence was revealed by Brian May and Roger Taylor, two of the three surviving members of the band, in a BBC radio interview when they appeared in the Royal Jubilee Concert.

They described the song as “a little gem from Freddie” that they’ve “kind of forgotten about”.

The song was called Face It Alone. The song was originally recorded during the band’s 1988 recording.

It was discovered when May and Roger were moved to rerelease the 1989 album The Miracle as a collector’s edition box set format.

The production and archive team found the song and other unreleased songs and candid conversations of the band as they went on with the recording.

The song was released to herald the upcoming album.

The song is a powerful ballad that celebrates the triumph in adversity, inner strength, and the ultimate lesson that all our fights start inside of ourselves.

The unreleased song has left most fans in tears.

One comment was quick to point out that the comments section was filled with different languages, and it stands as a testament to the band’s influence not just in the Commonwealth nations but all over the world.

“The diversity that uniquely characterizes Queen like no other is confirmed once again.”

One comment said, “There was a forgotten song and again it is uniquely different among their songs. I felt that they still had something to give, that their circle was not closed.”

Music critics and other fans also said that the song’s charm lies in the fact that it was Mercury’s voice.

Alex Petridis from The Guardian said that the real attraction of the track is the presence of the band’s frontman Freddie Mercury.

And for the younger fans, it felt like it was a chance for them to experience with the older fans what it was like to hear a “new” song from the band as it was before.

“I’m happy that our team was able to find this track. After all these years, it’s great to hear all four of us … yes, Deacy is there too … working in the studio on a great song idea which never quite got completed … until now!” Said May about the song.
