Double Dutch crew Waffle consists of five members, out of which one is an actor, one a performer, and three others who work desk jobs.
Daichi, Taisuke, Elina, Kai, and Tatsuya walked out on stage in coordinating oversized shirts and jackets with sneakers looking like a nineties boyband but bringing so much more.

Introductions were made and when judge Heidi Klum heard the group’s name, she replied, “Yummy.”
Simon Cowell, who is more often than not in a good mood these days, said that it was a “great name.”
The group is from Tokyo, Japan, and though some are performers and others working desk jobs, they came together to do what they loved most.
Waffle flew all the way from Japan to show AGT their Double Dutch routine using only two jump ropes. They chose “Let’s Groove” by Earth, Wind & Fire for their act.
The Japanese stars began to show off fun dance moves with some flips as they jumped rope.
No one missed a step, with the crowd and the judges smiling the whole time.
Daichi has directed a few short films like Doppel Clothing and Baba Kazuma.
Tatsuya is a popular jump rope performer who specializes in mixing dance moves incorporated with Double Dutch.
He has collaborated with fellow group member Elina for videos on his social media accounts.
Kai is a popular jump-rope performer, part of the famous Double Dutch group REGSTYLE, who have won many championships.
He is one of the ambassadors for Sony Xperia as well.
Taisuke is a famous Double Dutch jump-rope performer with a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive double dutch alternate forearm skips.
He earnedit in Nagareyama, Chiba, Japan, on March 27, 2021 with 101 counts.
Elina is a famous dancer, choreographer, actress, and model who has appeared in several movies like Z ISLAND, Soredake / that’s it, Akuno Kyouten, and GELATIN SILVER LOVE.
She’s also appeared in drama, TV, radio, advertisements, and stage performances.
So you could say they’re a well put together crew!
Jaws all on the floor as the double dutch team from Tokyo began to groove with their rope, not once missing a step or a skip, which would result in a bad injury for sure.
Waffle is hot from the oven so pour some syrup on that!

It’s such a fun act that even Simon Cowell, notorious for his criticisms at times, was smiling as he stood up to applaud Waffle.
Let’s hope we see more of this Tokyo crew in the next rounds. Waffle really deserves the exposure!
