Guns N’ Roses’ song “Sweet Child O’ Mine” has stayed popular on the radio and television ever since it came out.
Plenty of musicians have attempted to sing this masterpiece, and this teenage rock band is just the latest in a long line of contenders!
Even so, they got the whole neighborhood together with their music.
As the video begins, smoke arises on the side of the street as if there is going to be a huge barbeque.
It soon becomes clear that a bunch of teens have a stage set up there with large, booming speakers and a rock drum set.
The teenagers called their band First To Eleven (F211), and they were about to let the people hear their musical talents.
Because they were in a classic setting, they opted to play a classic song as well
The band decided to serenade their audience with a Guns N’ Roses song, specifically “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”
Matt, the band’s lead guitarist, had a great opening by tickling the guitar strings to produce a familiar tune that grabbed everyone’s attention!
The cymbals rang out next and the rest of the instruments followed suit, setting a perfect instrumental harmony.
While the band was rocking, someone was there serving delicious, grilled hotdogs to everyone!
Although everyone was great, the woman singing vocals did an outstanding job.
With her lips painted a bright, velvet color, Audra Miller, the band’s vocalist, had the entire crowd mesmerized with her performance.
She began the verses with strong rock vocals, enchanting everyone with her stunning voice and charming beauty.
Although Audra’s voice is not as rock-sounding or growl-forward as Axl Rose’s is, she gave the song her own twist by incorporating a mix of rock and pop influences.
It was enough to get the party going on the neighborhood street!
As this performance proves, their concert went well and it ended even better.
Young or old, probably almost all the people in that neighborhood showed up to enjoy the music (and maybe a few hot dogs as well).
Some kids were out in front while others were playing volleyball while the music played in the background. The whole time, the band kept strumming through the song with confidence and skill!
The rest of the band backed his electrifying solo so he could play worry-free in his own world.
The young guitarist outshone the rest of the members in his part as he pulled off a seamless solo.
After being in lockdown for so long, we need to see more of these concerts!
Without a doubt, 2020 has been a rough year for all of us.
Watching performances like this one reminds us what the world was like before coronavirus…and we’re all excited to get back to it! At any rate, we’re just hoping that all the talented musicians out there have been staying busy with practice while stuck at home. Hopefully, next year they can get back to doing what they do best—and we can all show up to support them in person! If you enjoyed this cover, be sure to check out more of this band’s performances on YouTube, or visit them on their website to get updates on their new releases.
